Seki Japanese Restaurant

Japanese food is my favorite so Friday night dating we choose to eat Japanese cuisine. Seki Japanese Restaurant is a restaurant located at Rendezvous Gallery beside Rendezvous Hotel.

A gentle reminder to whom wanna go to have dinner there, before going better do reservation 2 days in advance. Example I going on Friday, I reserve in the morning for it day night they told me is fully booked.

What I do is reserve 4 days in advance...wahaha...kia shu lol...But if you dun mind to sit at the bar area I think can walk in.

Our appetizer SEKI KAMO SALAD ($8), smoked duck with cabbage. It tops with fried spring roll skin,cabbage and special dressing. The vinegar taste dressing mixed with spring roll skin that give a crunchy taste, with cabbage that no taste and the smoke duck also dun have a strong taste so the dish is very refreshing.

I love salmon, so we order a Salmon Sashimi ($12) and a Salmon Belly Sushi ($8). The Sashimi is fresh and the salmon belly is nice. When you eat the salmon belly sushi, like have a thin layer of oil inside your mouth but not greasy at all. Salmon Lover must try.

After having those fresh sashimi,we have order cooked food. A Techa soba ($16) which is cha soba tempura set and a Tempura Udon ($15). I very curious, is it all the high level Japanese restaurant serve cooked food very slow? We wait for our udon and soba around 10 minutes,

The Soba make me disappointed,noodle not Q and got a taste of flour, udon is normal.The tempura is not bad,fresh, crispy and not oily.

I have order Chawanmushi ($6) too,but they forgot so serve me when i say want to cancel this. This dish also make me disappointed, watering and not much taste.
