Summer Palace: Regent Hotel

Before I start to write this Blog I need to inform all the readers, the image for the post Summer Palace is all download from the others website. Sorry that I forget to take picture when I having the DimSum,but I still want to share with all of you .

1st of May, A Labour Day...A Holiday for my family members. We decide to having Dim Sum in this day.
But at 30 of April I go prawning till 5 am, I sleep at 5.30am and wake up 10am, that make me blur blur forgot to take photo when having this meal.

The hotel is grand, luxury and all ang mo around there...This is the first feeling I step in the hotel maybe you will laugh at me,but I told the true. Summer Palace is at the 3rd floor of Regent Hotel.

Before you step in the Summer Palace you will saw this window (picture above). The service personnel there all very nice and friendly. They bring us to our place near the window that can saw the swimming pool. We start to order our food. We order lots of thing, Prawn Roll with Mango, Baked mini Egg Tarts,E Fu Noodles with shrimps, Fry carrot cake,Birdnest Dumpling, Custard Bun, Scallop Dumpling, Chicken Tart Abalone, Butterfly shape Dumpling, BBQ Pork Bun and Glu Rice with Durian .

Bird Nest Dumpling
Firstly we eat the Bird Nest Dumpling ($6 for 3 pieces), it place very beautiful in a bamboo steamer. They decor the Dumpling like a basket, small and cute. Bird nest place eminent at the top of the dumpling. This is the dish that woman cannot resist because will getting beautiful when eating this.

Prawn Roll

This is the Prawn Roll with Mango ($6 for 3 pieces). The coat of the prawn fried until very crispy, every bites you will hear the sound "crunch" "crunch".The stuffing is also very full, prawn inside is fresh and big.

Scallop Dumpling ($6 for 3 pieces), A big and fresh scallop on top of the dumpling...Custard Bun ($5 for 3 pieces) the skin is soft, the filling inside will flow out when you tear it...this bun not bad, but the skin of the bun is too little, the filling of the bun is thick and much... will too much if  eat without the skin .

Chicken Tarts Abalone ($8 for 1 piece), Whole mini abalone on the tarts... Not as good as we expect, just taste a abalone and a chicken tart, not really match in this combination...like separate taste. Can have a try if not eaten before.

Mini egg tarts ($5 for 3 pieces) Fresh baked out from the oven because still hot when we have it. A yellowish cute small tarts. My own favorite is shortcrust pastry base, but this tart is puff pastry base. So go to try it if you not like me.

BBQ pork bun ($3 for 5 pieces) This is the char siu pao that we always say. Usually we eat this type of bun the stuffing inside is red color, but this one is black color. The skin is soft the stuffing is enough. For me a bit sweet for this.

Carrot cake with seafood ($26) Fried carrot cake with seafood and lots of bean sprouts. This not like chai tau kway that eat at hawker center, the carrot cake is cut in a bigger size and not stick with egg but still got egg. Not greasy match with the bean sprout. Not bad but a little expensive.

E Fu noodles with shrimps ($28) Noodles with mushroom and prawns. This is the dishes that we always eat in a wedding dinner last dish.

Lastly we have a dessert, Glu rice with durian ($6 for 3). A thin layer of glutinous rice wrapped in a thick durian. When it serve no any smell of durian, but after you eat this please dun kiss your lover...Your mouth will full of durian smell.

The end we spent $149.50 for 4 person .
